Melisa Tokel
Having always had a creative eye, Melisa spends a lot of her time experimenting with photography and mixed media. Whether it be through tape transfers, collage, or embroidering into images, she comes up with unique ways to explore her ideas. In addition to this, she has a passion for documentary photography and likes to work on long term projects focusing on social and political issues. Melisa uses animal photographs and vintage found images to create her latest series of work. This project explores Surrealism and portraiture, combining both new and old photographic techniques in order to create interesting and unique images.
